Overview Serves as a staff Dentist for the dental unit with responsibilities for performing a variety of professional tasks of average technical and administrative difficulty in conformance with established criteria and guidelines. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Doctoral degree; no substitutions. Graduate of a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation with either a D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT No additional experience required. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software and Spreadsheet software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess an Oklahoma State Dental license and maintain CPR certification. Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of radiation and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
