Job Description
· Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
· Provide leadership and management of Environmental staff with a goal of growing the business and department.
· Assume senior project/client management and oversight duties for portfolio of existing workload.
· Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices. Engage APRs on projects at their onset.
· Responsible for the preparation of proposals and cost estimates for a variety of projects.
· With support from the local office leadership team as well as the Regional Environmental Service Manager and other Environmental Group Managers, perform business and client development activities.
· With support from the Regional Environmental Service Manager, develop and manage employee staffing plans, recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
· With support from the Regional Environmental Service Manager prepare and execute annual business plan for the department.
· Mentor and lead a team of environmental consultants to project success
· Foster long-term client relationships and expand our market presence

Skills and Requirements
· Bachelors degree in technical discipline practiced by the firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology; Masters degree or PhD preferred.
· Minimum of 7 years of practice experience; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience.
· Experience with conventional environmental services as well as executing and managing projects and proposals.
· Proven client/business development experience.
Previous supervisory experience preferred. · Experience in Illinois and Iowa is preferred.
· Project Management Professional (PMP)
· Registered Environmental Manager (REM)
Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG) or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managed. null
