Job Details

Responsibilities:

Supervises the technical and administrative functions.Supervises employees in daily operations and maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests. Provides leadership and training. Coordinates and provides orientation, education and training.Develops effective work team. Ensures cross coverage.Proactively identifies opportunities to improve procedures and processes.Encourages and supports morale building activities and positive attitudes.Communicates with employees and provides orientation on policies. Analyzes workflow and procedures.Identifies and implements opportunities to improve speed, quality and effectiveness.Leads and implements large process improvement projects.Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.A High School diploma/GED and five years of experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements.  A Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience may substitute the work experience requirement. 

Certifications:

None required.

Complexity of Work:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to take appropriate action in a stressful environment.

Work Experience:

Three years of related supervisory experience required. Healthcare experience in a large organization preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periodsAbility to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to communicate and exchange accurate informationAbility to travel throughout the hospital systemIn some locations, ability to transport up to 25 pounds May require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
