About The Role About the position: The Deposit Operations Specialist I is responsible for providing direct, high quality, timely support to customers and employees via telephone, mail, or email to address their issues, needs, or concerns. Professionalism, confidentiality, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability are a must! In addition, you will ensure compliance with regulations, all procedures, policies, job aids, relevant legal parameters, applicable accounting issues, the administrative process involved in choosing a proper course of action, and audit standards related to job responsibilities while adhering to and exemplifying our Core Values: Embrace Responsibility, Execute with Excellence, Pursue Growth & Learning, Thrive Together. This is a Division position that may be located in one of the following First Bank of Wyoming locations: Afton, Cody, Evanston, Powell, or Rock Springs. The entry-rate for this position is $20.25/per hour (calculated for Evanston, WY). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure policy, procedure and law are followed while supporting the bank in meeting compliance and customer expectations. NSF, New Account Report, Closed Accounts (DDA/SAV), Closed CD/IRA, Closed SDB, File Maintenance, CIF Maintenance, DDA Maintenance, CD Maintenance, SDB Maintenance, Stop Payments, Death Notices, Waived Account Service Fees, Restricted Accounts, Active Debit cards on closed accounts, Teller/Over-Short, CD Errors, DDA Errors. Alien Errors, CIF Errors. Receive and respond to customer and branch staff requests to resolve account inquiries, issues or concerns efficiently and to the customer's satisfaction. Do research, handle certain check fraud issues, print historical statements for customer. Work Closed Account Report. Follows division Check Back procedures, New Accounts, All Maintenance reports, Pending Reviews, Pending BO Forms, Corrections, Errors Percentages, Close accounts accurately and in a timely manner. Maintenance, DDA and Savings maintenance to message accounts, remove holds or change status - dormant, AFTs, Sweeps, stop payments, address changes, closed accounts, account maintenance, dormant account maintenance, employee account maintenance, mass maintenance from GBCI, IRS Reporting Maintenance. Assists with Online Account Openings/Processing. Foreign Checks, Processing Orders, Balancing GL, Late Returns/Adjustments, Phone Calls/Customer Service, Debit Cards, Online Banking, Stop Payments, Check orders, Wires, Research/statements, Cognos reporting, Division Contact for: Charged Off Accounts, Non-Post, Charge Backs/Earns, Check order verifications. Indexing all Operations Documents in Synergy and process return Mail. Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers. Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. About You QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required 0-2 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience is required or An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Banking experience is preferred Customer service is preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Employee must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to maintain a heavy volume of correspondence, personal contact, and telephone communication. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently. Strong organizational skills Ability to travel to FBWY and FSB branches/departments as needed Ability to apply policies and procedures and to maintain good relationships with employees. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and exhibit patience while training Employee must have a commitment to community involvement Critical thinking and time management skills Employee must be trustworthy and possess a significant level of credibility, discretion, and diplomacy. Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Employee must have strong PC Skills and thorough knowledge of the MS Office suite. Employee must have strong analytical, risk management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently on multiple assignments while effectively supporting teamwork and achievement of team objectives. Employee must have a fundamental understanding of business processes and its reliance on technology. Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions. Working conditions: Must be able to routinely perform work both indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level and outside in sometimes inclement weather. Must be capable of occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes. Mental Requirements: Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
