Deposit Operations Supervisor

Deposit Operations Supervisor Provides leadership oversight and operational support regarding all aspects of Deposit Operations. Research, resolve, and complete various customer service, administrative and transactional functions in a timely manner to ensure smooth operation of deposit services. The qualified candidate will have knowledge of retail banking products and services, proven ability in problem solving and the ability to create and sustain strong relationships with customers and coworkers. Five or more years’ experience in banking in a customer service role preferred. This is primarily an on-site position reporting to our corporate office in Solvay, NY. Research, resolve, and complete various customer service, administrative and transactional functions in a timely manner to ensure smooth operation of deposit services. Tasks: + Oversees the daily operational functions as performed by the designated Operations staff, providing guidance, and coaching as needed. + Collaborates with AVP, Customer Relations & Operations Assistant Manager in developing and implementing strategic goals to advance the department. + Responsible for review and revision of operational procedures and policies. + Research issues and/or complaints received from customer and branch inquiries regarding deposit accounts. + Reviews, recommends, and implements new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient. + Maintains in-depth knowledge of products and services, including but not limited to, Business Deposit Documentation, Individual Retirement Accounts, and core deposit products. + Provides support for wire transfer process. + Reviews reports daily, weekly, and monthly for exceptions and adherence to defined controls. + Performs and supports reconciliations for deposit accounts, credit cards, and debit cards. + Builds and sustains productive relationships with other Bank departments to collaborate on Deposit Operations issues. + Trains and cross-trains staff to handle departmental duties effectively and efficiently. + Assists with special or time-based projects as needed. + Maintains a high degree of confidentiality regarding customer accounts. Experience and Education: + 5 or more years of banking experience + Demonstrated success in problem resolution. + Demonstrated knowledge of retail products and services + Ability to cultivate and sustain strong customer relationships. + Understands Solvay Bank Work Values and visibly exhibits these values in daily approach to work and work relationships.
