The Deposit Servicing Specialist will be responsible for completing assigned research functions and duties, such as balancing/reconciling G/L and DDA accounts and fulfilling incoming research requests timely and accurately.

Responsibilities Balance/reconcile G/L and DDA accountsInitiate and or follow up for responses to clear exceptions for balancing/reconciling accountsFulfill research requests including, statement reconstructions, deposit reconstructions, single items, IRS reporting corrections, and subpoenasProcess IRS tax levies and safe deposit box payments and maintenance Verify CD/IRA interest checks and provide IRA technical support Communicate with other business entities, financial institutions, and areas of the bank to establish relationships for escalating and expediting issues, exceptions, and requests for resolutionAssist other associates on assigned duties as need    Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school education or equivalentSolid math skills with some knowledge of balancing/reconciling proceduresGood time management and organizational skillsGood written and verbal communication skills with the ability to learn quickly, meet strict deadlines, and adhere to policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and instructionsBasic computer, calculator, and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Must pass basic Excel testingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPeople-oriented with customer focusPrevious banking experience with general knowledge of Deposit Operations, bank operations, and industry Basic understanding of the check clearing system through the Federal Reserve and other banksKnowledge of the deposits system, reporting applications, and the general ledger

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
