This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB & MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Located within Letterkenny Army Depot, Directorate of Industrial Operations. This position may be filled at the GS-09 or GS-11 grade level. Responsibilities Serve as program leader in an item markings program used by organization. Plan work in organization's lifecycle management program for asset accountability. Apply extensive knowledge of management concepts toward organization's processes. Communicate customer requirements toward program or assignments. Collect program data by using spreadsheets, graphics or database applications. Participate in program or policy development for organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) marking items using an item identification system; 2) interpreting blueprints or technical manuals; 3) managing customer's requirements or deadlines; and 4) keeping management informed on progress of projects .This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) compiling data for a logistics program implementation; 2) accounting for an organization's items or assets; 3) assisting in the design of a major logistics project or program; and 4) developing special projects or programs within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
