Manage Manulife Investment Management’s equity franchise in Asia consisting of equity professionals located in seven countries, with its central regional hub located in Hong Kong. Responsible for equity portfolios, consisting of both general account mandates as well as mandates managed for parties unaffiliated with Manulife. Coordinate and direct the management of equity resources and infrastructure consistent with Manulife Investment Management’s primary value proposition of local knowledge reflected in the regional mandates that we manage while distilling down a globally-consistent standard for portfolio management within each of the offices in which we operate. Ensure a high level of communication between equity desks without compromising the entrepreneurial nature of each investment desk to make portfolio decisions on their own, but in line with client specifications and risk controls. Implement refinements to the disciplined equity investment process, consistent with our main value proposition.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide functional oversight of all equity desks in AsiaCo-ordinate and direct equity research activities (both fundamental and quantitative research)Provide effective support and communications as between the Hong Kong regional equity hub and Manulife Fund Management based in BeijingFulfill responsibilities of a ‘Responsible Officer’ under Hong Kong SFC CodeProvide oversight on equity investment for territory investment offices - increasing in significance and time commitment. This includes quantitative research, portfolio risk & performance analysisProvide internal and external marketing effort in raising AUMRecommend appropriate investment strategies with respect to on-balance sheet asset allocation policiesAccountabilities (Individual / Shared):
