Requirements
The Thrive Center for Children, Families, and Communities (http://thrivecenter.georgetown.edu/) is dedicated to supporting the healthy development of children, individuals with disabilities, families and communities through service, partnership and scholarship. The Thrive Center is home to a multi-disciplinary faculty and staff of over 100 individuals working locally, nationally and internationally. Thrive Center has an annual operating budget of over $20M funded through federal and state grants and contracts, service agreements, gifts, endowments, tuition remission and a robust relationship with MedStar Georgetown Hospital.
Thrive Center is hiring a Deputy Director of Finance to manage the broad range of grants, contracts, gifts, tuition and other partnerships that support the work of the Center. The Deputy Director of Finance will have primary responsibility for:
+ Financial oversight and daily management of all grants, contracts, and other partnership activities.
+ Ensure compliance with sponsor and University requirements.
+ Support proposal development and preparation.
+ Manage the preparation of fiscal reports (forecasting, expenditure analysis and reconciliation) to inform and support leadership strategic planning and decision-making.
Work Interactions
The Deputy Director of Finance reports to the Managing Director of Thrive Center and serves as a member of the core administrative team and resource for all faculty and staff. The Deputy Director of Finance represents the Center both internally with relevant departments within the University and externally, with partners, sponsors, and vendors. The Director of Finance will oversee the work of a Senior Grants Manager and Procurement Analyst and will interact with all faculty and staff related to financial transactions. The Deputy Director of Finance serves as a key member of the administrative leadership team.
Requirements and Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ A minimum of 5 years of financial experience in a fast-paced, grant and contract-funded organization
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks
+ Ability to deal effectively and professionally with a variety of individuals
+ Preference for experience in an academic setting and with Workday

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$66,783.00 - $126,720.23
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
