Deputy Director of Marketing
Job Description *ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES* The Marketing & Development team is dedicated to amplifying the impact of NYC Parks, increasing brand awareness, maintaining brand integrity, and securing vital resources to enhance and preserve our public spaces. Major Responsibilities - Under the direction of the Chief Marketing and Development Officer, with considerable latitude for independent initiative and judgment, coordinate and implement Agency marketing operations. - Assist the Chief of Marketing and Development in the creation, development and execution of marketing campaigns for Agency and City initiatives. - Oversee Marketing team operations and implement standard operating procedures and best practices to streamline projects. - Train and orient new Marketing team members. - Supervise two design staff and one marketing project manager. - Oversee reporting for marketing, including quarterly and annual reports and evaluate on an ongoing basis effectiveness of marketing efforts. - Serve as a resource for internal divisions including government relations, legal, press, media and operations. - Assist the Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Commissioner for Operations and Sign Shop with reviewing signage requests for design support. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
