Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator

LCRA is looking for a Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator to join our team. As part of LCRA's Public Safety team, your emergency management expertise will contribute to developing and maintaining plans and annexes, assisting in coordination and development of disaster and response exercises, maintaining of the readiness of the emergency operations center, coordination of response activities when notified of emergency conditions and developing and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.

You will be trusted to:

- Coordinate with the LCRA incident management team.
- Maintain and guidelines for emergency management center activation.
- Develop and maintain procedures for internal and external notifications.
- Assume full responsibility of the LCRA Emergency Management Coordinator as required, in his or her absence.

You qualify with:

- Nine or more years of experience in emergency management, fire services, law enforcement or emergency medical service or relevant experience. A degree(s) in emergency management, homeland security, emergency medical response, fire response, law enforcement or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience
- Driver's license
- Successful completion of required National Incident Management System and Incident Command System courses within six months of hire
- Pass the CJIS fingerprint-based background investigation according to the State of Texas standards Maintain currency with all CJIS training requirements
