A week in the life of a Deputy Facility Manager: + Support the operations of a Government-owned/Contractor-operated facility in Northern Virginia hosting customers to test a suite of Electronic Healthcare Record systems and the off-site operations of a data center infrastructure located at a nearby campus. + Manage the reservation and use of capabilities in the facility, including but not limited to test lab space, storage space, IT rack and networking capacity, and office/meeting spaces. + Coordinate with visitors to ensure that reservations are consistent with the test schedules published by the Government customer. + Additionally serve as the program’s Deputy Asset Manager. Contact potential users and negotiate transfers of assets. Actively support the conduct of asset audits; develop, recommend, and implement asset administration policies. + Coordinate activities with vendors related to the maintenance, repair and modification of equipment, controls/communications, electrical/electronic systems, HVAC, and mechanical devices and equipment built to support the testing of Electronic Healthcare Record systems. + Assist in the development and continuing improvement of maintenance programs and perform routine preventive maintenance according to Facility management plans and procedures. + Support the onboarding and offboarding for program wide staff and assist stakeholders throughout the process . + Support the planning and conduct of ongoing physical security procedures; support periodic security audits and performing post-audit actions as needed to maintain facility accreditation. + Manage the submittal of facility-related contract deliverables, and the development and delivery of non-deliverable items for Government concurrence and publication. + Monitor project tickets and ensure continuous visibility and appropriate ownership of tasks and tickets throughout their lifecycle. Job Requirements + U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance + Onsite presence M-F at facility in Chantilly, VA + Minimum 2-4 years of experience in IT-oriented facility management skillsets with a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent with work experience. + Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes and facility-related tasks. + Ensure that the facility remains supportive of the DoD Electronic Healthcare Record testing events. + Experience with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories. + Experience with Microsoft tools (i.e. Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge of laws, OSHA regulations and ISO requirements. + Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities. Required Skills + Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in order to accomplish goals on a given timeline. + Ability to interpret, communicate, and apply operational and security procedures; ability to propose improvements to same. + Excellent communications skills, including interacting with DoD customers, facility users, and facility support contractors. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
