Juris Doctor (J.D.) Required
The Deputy General Counsel (DGC) serves as the second-in-command to the company’s Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. The DGC is responsible for providing legal advice, guidance, and support to the organization on a wide range of legal matters including contract review and negotiation, compliance and risk management. The DGC will work closely with other departments and stakeholders within the company to ensure that the company’s legal interests are protected and that it is operating in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) and 10+ years’ experience in a law firm and/or in-house, with a specific area of expertise in labor and employment (health care experience preferred). Fundamental knowledge of and experience in employment and labor Familiar with federal and state laws relating to healthcare, including but not limited to Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, HIPAA, AKS, self-referral prohibitions, privacy, security, and fraud and Ability to manage a high-volume Excellent organizational, communication, research, and analytical Experience in managing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex Risk mitigationWhat’s in it for you?
