1. Smelting Operations Management Oversee pyrometallurgical copper smelting processes, including flash smelting, converters, anode casting, and refining. Ensure optimal process parameters for furnaces, off-gas treatment, slag handling, and metal recovery. 2. Process Optimization & Technology Advancement Implement advanced process control (APC) and data analytics to enhance efficiency. Optimize reaction kinetics, residence time, and energy efficiency in furnaces and converters. Drive operational excellence through Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen methodologies. 3. Safety & Environmental Compliance Ensure compliance with pollution control norms, effluent treatment, and emission standards (SO₂ capture, waste heat recovery, and slag management). Conduct regular risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and safety drills to maintain a secure working environment. 4. Team Leadership & Skill Development Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team. Conduct technical training on smelting fundamentals, furnace control, and emergency response protocols. 5. Production Planning & Cost Management Develop strategic production plans to meet demand while maintaining cost efficiency. Optimize raw material usage, energy consumption, and metallurgical recovery rates. 6. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and R&D teams to improve plant performance. Manage contracts with equipment suppliers, technology providers, and regulatory agencies. Education: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). Experience: 15+ years in copper smelting operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Certifications (Preferred): Six Sigma (Black/Green Belt) Advanced Process Control Certification Industrial Safety & Environmental Compliance Certification
