Deputy Local Safety Officer - Benelux (Belgium)

We are looking for a Deputy Local Safety Officer (Benelux) fluent in English, French and Danish/German, to join us in our Global Patient Safety Team, based in our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, Slough UK or Monheim, Germany.

 

About the role

You will support the Local Safety Officer to ensure that Pharmacovigilance systems, operations and procedures are in place within the local organization, for all territories assigned to the Affiliate.

You will be the primary contact for pharmacovigilance at the Affiliate.

 

Who you’ll work with

You will work with the Local Safety Officer to ensure that Pharmacovigilance systems, operations and procedures are in place within the local organization, for all territories assigned to the Affiliate.  Maintain a functional connection with the Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance and collaborate in true partnership with program owners and other cross functional stakeholders.

 

What you’ll do

Maintain pharmacovigilance system compliance through collaboration, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) management, and oversight.Collaborate with business units for patient solutions, ensuring compliance and vendor capability.Proactively manage safety risks, communicate with stakeholders, and escalate issues appropriately.Ensure readiness for health authority inspections, manage audits, and implement corrective actions.Report product safety information, contribute to risk management, and engage stakeholders for solutions.Stay updated on local regulatory requirements, assess impacts, and communicate to relevant parties.

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

You will hold a Bachelor's Degree or Health Care Professional based education (such as physician, pharmacist, nurse) or any relevant graduation/experience in medical-scientific area (such as PhD/master in biological sciences or related degree).You will have at least 4 years in Pharmacovigilance with Affiliate responsibilities and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Pharma industry, or in Health Care.You will be an expert in pharmacovigilance, with an in-depth expert knowledge of associated regulatory requirements. Be able to understand, analyze, and summarize scientific and medical information effectively, influencing stakeholders internally and externally.Demonstrate the ability to identify gaps, perform trend analysis and implement risk mitigation strategyLead, motivate, and influence within matrix organizations, fostering teamwork, networking, and promoting team collaboration.Demonstrate strategic leadership with authenticity, resilience, and adaptability in diverse contexts.You will be fluent in written & oral, English, French and Danish/German.
