Site Development and Planning: Assist in the design and preparation of site plans, grading plans, and infrastructure layouts (roads, utilities, drainage, etc.). Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project scope and constraints. Coordinate with architects, urban planners, and other professionals to integrate civil engineering designs into overall project plans. Design and Analysis: Perform civil engineering calculations, including those related to soil mechanics, hydrology, and structural design. Design and analyze stormwater management systems, grading, and erosion control plans. Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and specifications for approvals and permits. Construction Oversight: Monitor on-site construction progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality controls. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that construction work is in compliance with engineering designs and local regulations. Regulatory Compliance and Permitting: Ensure all civil engineering work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, environmental, and building codes. Prepare documentation for permits and assist in securing the necessary approvals from regulatory agencies. Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and obtain necessary permits. Cost Estimation and Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates for civil works, including materials, labor, and equipment. Review and track project costs, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
