Conduct testing and commissioning of substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays, and control systems. Perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, and identify potential issues or areas for improvement. Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and documentation for substation equipment. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review and validate system designs and specifications. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to substation equipment and systems. Prepare detailed test reports, documentation, and technical summaries. Provide technical support and training to clients and team members. Stay up-to-date with advancements in substation technology and testing methodologies. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.  Minimum 8-10 years of experience in substation testing, commissioning, or maintenance. Proficiency with testing equipment and software such as Doble, Omicron, or similar.  Strong understanding of electrical principles, power systems, and substation components. Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel to various substation sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Experience with digital substations and advanced protection schemes. Knowledge of SCADA systems and communication protocols.
