Key missions of the position:
Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, testing and maintenance of wiring systems in various products & applications.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve wiring issues, ensuring systems are functioning correctly and safely.Compliance: Ensure all wiring work complies with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.Industrialization: Create and develop industrial automation systems, SPM, production processes, and workflowsBuild, manage, and improve on a continuous improvement basis the industrial and industrial oriented and connected activities of Energy, comfort & Access (EC&A) product line, meeting the needs of the customer, reach and optimize the goals in terms of Quality, Cost & Deliveries.Responsibilities
Product Assembly Wiring
Develop detailed plans for wiring installations in various product & applicationsOversee the installation of wiring systems, ensuring they are correctly and safely implementedPerform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure the integrity and functionality of wiring systemsIdentify & procure the right tools and machineries for wiring harness preparation (cable cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, insulating, etc.)Maintain the wiring related tools and equipment and it’s sparesTrain, certify and oversee the wiring operatorsProvide estimations for wiring requirements for upcoming projectsDiagnose and resolve issues related to wiring systemsImplement solutions to fix wiring problems and prevent future issuesDevelop test benches for wiring harness testing – continuity, HV, functional, etc.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environmentConduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for wiring projectsImplement innovative solutions to improve wiring processes and systemsSupport in resolving electrical issues in test benches, equipment, etc.Industrialization:
Design, prove, implement and maintain production processes to deliver product on time, to quality requirements and to cost.Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove waste.Drive validation plans to ensure robust and comprehensive technical solutions.Develop and maintain project plans and budget profiles to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed cost targets and timescales.Identify and justify capital equipment investment.Prepare & update key process documents (PFD, PFMEA and WI/AIS) with the support of CFT Team.Analyse process downtime, identify trends and develop solutions (CA/PA).To create the standard for MOST, MH, Capacity, Ergonomics & Layout planningSystems & Compliance:
Ensure all wiring work complies with relevant standards, codes, and regulationsMaintain detailed records of wiring installations, modifications, and repairsPrepare reports and documentation for project tracking and compliance purposesFrequently conduct audit on wiring tools, operators and qualityConduct inspections and tests to ensure the quality and reliability of wiring installationsSkills & Knowledge:
Electrical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical principles and componentsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagramsProficiency in wiring, soldering, and crimping, wire routing techniquesSkilled in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, drilling, and assembling componentsKnowledge in electrical panel wiring standardsIPC/WHMA-A-620: Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness AssembliesIPC-D-620: Design and Critical Process Requirements for Cable and Wiring HarnessesIPC J-STD-001: Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic AssembliesExperience with testing and inspecting electrical systems to ensure functionality and safetyWabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
