Roles and Responsibilities

· Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and protocols to safeguard personnel, assets, and infrastructure within the mining site

· Oversee and manage all security operations, including access control, surveillance systems, and security personnel deployment

· Conduct regular security risk assessments and devise proactive measures to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into all aspects of mining operations

· Lead and mentor security staff, providing guidance and training on emergency response procedures and crisis management

· Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations, standards, and guidelines

· Participate in incident investigations and provide support in resolving security-related issues

Education Qualification

· Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field

· Additional certifications in security management, risk assessment, or emergency response are highly desirable

Certification required

· Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation preferred

· First Aid and CPR certification

Experience

· Minimum 10 years' experience in security management within the coal mining industry

· Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing security protocols and procedures

· Proven track record of leading security teams and managing security operations

· Experience in conducting security risk assessments and formulating risk mitigation strategies

· Knowledge of local and national security regulations and compliance standard
