We are currently seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join our team in McLean, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Deputy Program Manager with federal government IT project management experience to join our Program Management Office (PMO). The Deputy Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of federal government IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and adhering to project management methodologies and standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex IT projects within the federal government sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Program Manager in overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of federal government IT projects.

Proven experience in leading federal government IT projects throughout their life cycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, following established project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder requirements.

Coordinate and communicate with project teams, stakeholders, and federal government clients to ensure project goals and expectations are met.

Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

Strong technical experience with handling, installing, deploying, operating, and maintaining IT investments and capabilities such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, IoT devices, switches, routers, firewalls, domain controllers, servers, peripherals, cabling, and connectors.

Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar.

Knowledge of federal government regulations, standards, and best practices related to IT project management.

Provide technical leadership and guidance for the deployment, operation, and maintenance of IT investments and capabilities, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, IoT devices, switches, routers, firewalls, domain controllers, servers, peripherals, cabling, and connectors.

Ensure compliance with federal government regulations, standards, and best practices.

Conduct regular project reviews and status updates, preparing and presenting reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting the adoption of innovative project management practices and technologies.

Maintain and update project documentation, including project charters, plans, risk registers, and status reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

5 years of federal government IT project management experience.

Project Management Professional (PMP), ITSM/ITIL Foundation certification

Must pass a Public Trust Clearance (US citizen or Green Card holder)
