Deputy Program Manager

Deputy Program Manager

Supports the Program Manager in the overall leadership and administration of the IMITS effort. Serves as a key point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues. Oversees day-to-day program operations and ensures contractor compliance with requirements.  

The primary focus is managing security in the customer's facility while focusing on updating security plans, procedures, and instructions; performing access control responsibilities, including managing badges, access cards, and visit requests; and having experience using JPAS and the SCI/SAP Program.

Responsibilities:

Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the program lifecycle.Change Management: Manage program changes, assess impacts, and implement effective change control processes.Financial Management: Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and tracking program expenditures.Performance Measurement: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success.Contract Management: Support contract administration, including change orders, invoicing, and supplier management.Team Building: Foster a collaborative team environment and develop staff capabilities.Communication: Effectively communicate program status, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.Assists the Program Manager in developing and executing program plans and schedules.Manages program resources and budget under the Program Manager's guidance.Coordinates with program stakeholders and team members.Tracks program performance and identifies potential risks.Prepares program reports and presentations.Oversees day-to-day program activities and operations.Manages program deliverables and milestones.Coordinates with project managers and team leads.Ensures adherence to program standards and processes.Supports the Program Manager in addressing program issues and challenges.Develops and implements contingency plans.Leads program activities in the Program Manager's absence.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in Navy programs and information systems.  Possess a strong understanding of the program's technical aspects and requirements.Experience using JPAS and the SCI/SAP Program is required.Strong project management skills.  PMP or equivalent certification preferred.Experience in program planning and execution.Demonstrated experience in financial management and analysis.Budget management and financial analysis skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
