Deputy Program Manager
Amentum is seeking a Deputy Program Manager in Warren, MI to oversee programs providing multi-disciplinary engineering analysis and support in the research, development, test & evaluation of diverse systems for Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS) and Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** + Assist the Program Manager with planning, directing, controlling, and monitoring the program to ensure satisfactory completion of program objectives. + Assist in the planning, controlling, and direction of staff and support personnel for the contracts. + Provide direct support to the PEOs Project Offices with defining requirements for upcoming project support. + Provide administrative and technical leadership in the completion of multiple contracts, including responsibility for cost, schedule, and overall performance. + Assist the Program Manager in planning and procuring necessary staffing to achieve work completion milestones and deliverables. + Monitor fulfillment of contract requirements to ensure quality and timeliness of services/deliverables to various customers. + Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership to and review the work of assigned staff and/or contracts. + Interface with customers on a regular basis for support of engineering and program management activities. + Monitor customer feedback and advise on a broad range of issues related to products/services being delivered. + Participate in business development including identifying new business opportunities. This includes identifying and seeking new business outside the current contract, across TACOM/Detroit Arsenal, and Southeast Michigan. + Coordinate, compile, finalize, and submit Scientific Technical Information (STI) deliverables to the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), as part of Information Analysis Center (IAC) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) requirements. + Perform multi-disciplinary analysis of system designs to determine compliance with specifications and standards. + Assist with investigation and resolution of operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. + Represent the Program Manager when required as a point-of-contact for all matters relating to the assigned contract. + Provide management guidance and control for the efficient utilization of human resources assignment, performance, morale, and overall welfare. + Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, management, or related field and 8 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience in business or related field may be substituted for each of the four (4) years of college. + Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance + Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required. + Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications are required. + Extensive travel may be required. + Knowledge of various computer skills desirable (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience within PEO CS&CSS and PEO GCS. + Master’s degree or coursework in specialized management + Previous experience with IAC MAC contracts, including the associated deliverables (STI, Monthly Status Reports, PMP, and PMRs) Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
