Deputy Program Manager
The Deputy Program Manager assists the Program Manager in planning, directing controlling and monitoring Strategic Business Unit programs to ensure satisfactory completion of the program objectives. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Manage the program to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations including cost, quality and schedules while maintaining company profit goals. + Assist in all phases of programs from inception through completion. + Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary and recognition/disciplinary actions. + Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. + Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract; participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. + Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance. + Develop new business or expands the product line with the customer. + Master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Establish milestones and monitors adherent + Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas. + Coordinate and/or approves local operating and personnel actions, policies and procedures within the generalized framework of overall corporate guidelines. + Responsible for contract administrative functions including safety, security and labor reporting. + Ensure adherence to established standards of individual performances and site discipline. + Manage monetary resources in such a manner to keep the contract within budget guidelines and meet all budget objectives. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management or equivalent related experience. + Five (5) or more years’ experience in related field. + Five (5) or more years’ supervisory experience. + Ability to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships. + Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). + Strong organizational and analytical skills to support site operations. + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software. + Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, interpersonal, and project management. + Ability to effectively interface with various levels of employees and management. + Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. + Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. + Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. + Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for up to twelve (12) hours per day and sit for up to eight (8) hours per day. + Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, harsh and work can be performed under hostile and life-threatening conditions. + Ability to travel domestically and internationally. + Must be able to obtain/maintain a United States Secret Security Clearance.
