Key responsibilities:
As Deputy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Multi-Domain Mission Support System (MD MSS) from start to finish. You’ll work closely with the Programme Manager, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the successful execution of initiatives across the business.
Your main responsibilities include:
Assisting in the planning, coordination, and delivery of MD MSS within agreed timelines and budgets.
Management of Key Work Packages and Customer Tasking
Preparing project documentation, reports, and presentations.
Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and suggesting solutions.
Managing schedules, resources, and project files.
Learning and applying project management methodologies and tools.
About you:
We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the drive to succeed. The ideal candidate will have:
Established experience as an Assistant PM, or a Project Manager, with experience managing software projects, or projects within the defence/engineering sectors.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Security Clearance statement:
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
