The Opportunity: We are seeking expressions of interest for a Deputy Support Services Manager . The Deputy Support Services Manager assists the Support Services Manager to lead and direct the support services teams. Their role is to execute and monitor support services activities, coordinate priorities and resources, and manage changes to the scope, cost and schedule of the support services contract. Their responsibilities are to prepare and update support services plans and status reports, provide updates on customers, coordinate cross-functional meetings, utilize corporate processes to track project schedules and costs, develop contract-related documentation, and participate in contract performance review meetings and discussions The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to: + Project Leadership: Provide direction and leadership, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. + Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the project, from initiation to completion, ensuring efficient resource allocation, risk mitigation, and milestone achievement. + Documents and Deliverables: Draft and contribute to all required document deliverables such as Support Services Management Plan, Performance Measurement Reports and the Program Execution plan. + Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate program progress, risks, and successes to internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and alignment of expectations. + Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success, including compliance with regulatory standards and security protocols. + Financial Oversight: Monitor program budgets, expenses, and resource allocation, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness throughout the program lifecycle. + Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within program management, leveraging lessons learned for future initiatives. + Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders internally and externally. + Other support to the Support Services Manager as required to effectively manage the delivery of contracted support and related activities As the ideal candidate you will bring: Essential: + Excellent business acumen and a commercially minded approach + Well-developed leadership skills and experience + Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with key senior stakeholders both internally and externally in a Defence/ Defence Industry environment. + Results oriented and proven ability to drive sustained business growth through successful delivery to high standards. + Demonstrated experience in governance and compliance of programs of work and effectively managing and overseeing multiple schedules, budgets and teams to achieve success + Strong influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills + Extensive experience delivering and overseeing delivery of complex projects in a Defence or Defence Industry environment + Extensive & relevant network across Defence and Federal government with market/industry knowledge and expertise + Proven experience with project management of multi-disciplined teams + NV1 Australian Government security clearance Desirable: + Experience delivering support activities for mission planning applications and networks + Experience with delivery to ASDEFCON support contracting Benefits of KBR + A workplace culture certified as a Great Place To Work (Aus, India, UK & US) + Flexible working conditions + Competitive salary (including annual reviews) + Paid Parental leave + Paid Reservist leave + Income protection + Corporate rewards + Salary packaging/Novated leasing + Discounted employee stock purchase plans + Flu shots, skin checks and private health insurance discounts + Career development: Online learning, mentorship and career pathways If you’re ready to shape tomorrow, let’s get started.
