As a Design and Analysis Engineer, you will

\r\n\r\n

Position Responsibilities:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tProvide onsite electrical/electronic, communication & navigation, flight control & avionics systems engineering support to USAF Maintenance and Flight Operations personnel.
\r\n\tEffectively troubleshoots difficult, intermittent, chronic, or complex system problems consistent with operational protocols.\r\n\tAugment standard troubleshooting and repair technologies with innovative approaches to sustain Electrical/Electronic Systems integrity driving development of new standard repairs as required.\r\n\tUse engineering equipment to collect and analyses aircraft data to study aircraft health and detailed formulate maintenance recommendations.\r\n\tUtilize product review authority (i.e., post-production product review authority) to design and approve interim and final engineering solutions.\r\n\tDocuments repair design solutions in drawings, data sets, reports, specifications, and supporting data as applicable.
\r\n\tSupport activities for on & off-site disabled product repair teams and mishap investigations.\r\n\tHelps resolve programmatic and technical problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance.\r\n\tApply advanced knowledge of aircraft design and engineering principles to assess and resolve aircraft and equipment issues through the aircraft’s lifecycle.\r\n\tApply engineering principles and experience to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.\r\n\tDevelop and release engineering dispositions to ensure aircraft airworthiness and overall operational safety and effectiveness.\r\n\tUse innovative approaches and unique applications to solve complex nonconforming conditions.\r\n\tIdentify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety.\r\n\tProvide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.\r\n\tCoordinate activities for on-site disabled aircraft repair / recovery teams, safety or accident investigation boards, and aircraft maintenance recovery teams.\r\n\tDevelop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.\r\n\tDevelop and implement product / process improvements to drive engineering disposition process efficiencies and mitigate recurrent/repeat technical issues.\r\n\tThis is a technical position at, and embedded within USAF Operational Base, requiring on-site and homeroom engineering coordination, independence, and technical acumen.\r\n\tTravel to other aircraft Depot or Operational base locations may be required\r\n\tFrequent interaction with Active Military personnel\r\n\tInteraction with aircraft engineering personnel (all levels)\r\n\tPosition requires selected applicant to obtain cybersecurity certification that complies with AFMAN 17-1303, IAM Level 1 post start.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Range : $50.00 to $60.00 per hour.
