Job Description

The BIW sealing systems engineer will have had a minimum of 5 years of experience in Bulk Materials Handling in the automotive Industry, straddling design-office and field oversight/commissioning responsibilities, the BIW sealing systems engineer will be responsible of material release in both CAD design tools and PLM systems as well as material applications and specification definition.

Responsibilities:

Estimating and proposal preparation supportMechanical detail engineering for material application in the BIW components.Specify Materials for Pumping systems such as sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, e-coat, etcetera.Support for Equipment specifications and installations.Assembly Structural Design analysisProduct Design Verification plan and evaluation.Process control supportProject and field managementSupport for Vehicle Launching and Pre-series prototypes.Material validation in-Lab

QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical EngineerMinimum 5 years experience in Bulk Material Handling in the Automotive Industry such as sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, e-coat.Excellent knowledge of NX/Teamcenter SoftwareExperience in Material Characteristics, Analysis and Lab-TestingProduct Launching Management ExperienceAvailability to travel occasionallyAdvanced English (B2/C1).
