Job DescriptionGlass DRE is responsible for developing PDO them of the glass for the windshield and back glass with suppliers to meet all legal and regulatory requirements for glass for safety and visibility. Responsibilities include integration of electrical features such as heated grids for backlight and Forward Camera heated grid. Sensor farm integration and interior mirror integration. DRE also responsible for develop of HUD systems working closely with EE team. Also responsible for IRR coatings for glass for luxury vehicle offerings and that all packaing and functional objective requirements are met.
Engineer needs to support meeting throughout NA work hours and work closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams & PDO with iterative models to align with all packaging, functional objectives and system requirements.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university
One year engineering experience
Proficient in MS Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in setting and assessing customer (internal/external) level requirements, constructing component and full vehicle DVP&R
Experience with defining functional objectives and constructing DFMEA
Experience with NX, Teamcenter, and change management processes
Ability to construct work plans to resolve issues
Ability to lead teams, determine gaps to targets and develop solutions
Three years of product development experience
Experience with engineering plastic Class A components
Ability to reach consensus on complicated issues
Ability to resolve conflicting requirements across multiple organizations
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer software skills
