Position Summary The Design team is responsible for the headwear design and creative execution of our licensed sports and brand partner initiatives. This team understands all design touch points in the development process and is focused on driving commercial results. The role of Design Assistant is to support our technical Design initiatives with graphic, tech pack and BOM creation. This position executes all deliverables in accordance with direction from the Design Manager and must act with urgency and accuracy. Responsibilities + Builds production tech packs for custom design projects across various channels and accounts + Creates production-ready artwork across leagues and teams + Creates and submits designs for internal and external approvals and executes necessary changes + Reviews prototype samples against tech packs for production accuracy + Executes design deliverables in New Era ROAL product creation system + Effectively processes artwork through Job Tracker software for digitizing purposes + Understands preferred license logos and colors per channel and/or account + Meets or exceeds timelines associated with go-to-market calendars + Keeps all sensitive matters confidential + Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Demonstrates understanding of embroidery graphic creation + Has strong graphic design abilities + Collaborates with cross functional teams across product design needs + Executes change with urgency and persistence + Proficient in individually managing multiple projects daily while meeting established deadlines + Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail + Represents the brand in all actions and decisions + Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) + Experience with PLM preferred Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design or Communication Arts preferred; additional experience in lieu of degree considered + Zero (0) to One (1) years of Product Design experience or equivalent combination or education and experience required + Knowledge of sportswear or apparel industry preferred + Portfolio available upon request Travel Requirement + 0% to 5%; domestic New Era Cap, LLC is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer that believes in inclusion and does not discriminate against any candidate or employee on the basis of race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, genetics, or any other basis protected by applicable local, state or federal laws.
