Design Assurance Engineer
Job Title: Design Assurance EngineerJob Description We make the world a better place to live! Responsibilities + Collaborate with PMO and Engineering team to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the Product Development Process (PDP). + Work cross-functionally and build strong working relationships with employees across business functions including quality, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, customer service, and product management. + Ensure that product development teams meet quality and safety standards of product design. + Lead the DFMEA process and guide the engineering team to create FMEAs for new designs and update existing designs. + Participate in design reviews, change management processes, and ensure design robustness before handing over the design to production. + Participate in the development, maintenance, and interpretation of policies and standard work for engineering and coordinate their implementation. + Support and contribute to product requirements development on projects. + Proactively promote continuous improvement to enhance product quality. + Contribute to company Quality and EH&S goals. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in engineering. + 2+ years of product development experience, preferably in industrial, automotive, or fire equipment industries engineering. + Proven experience with Design FMEAs. + At least 1 year of experience with root cause analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in software or electrical engineering. + Experience with new product development, design, electrical engineering, firmware, and validation. Work Environment You will be working in an engineering environment focused on high technology safety equipment and sensors. The role involves cross-functional collaboration and requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
