Design / Construction Manager
What You Will Do:

Our Southeast team is currently looking for a Design / Construction Manager to join our growing team!

 

This position is based out of Miami and will work at our client’s office, the Miami International Airport – Facilities Management Department, as an extension of staff.

 

With minimal supervision, provides design and construction management services for several facilities upgrades at the Miami International Airport. Initially performs routine design management, coordinate permits, reviews schedules, and coordinate construction activities.

 

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the management of design projects.Expedite permitting approval with building code officials.Reviews design, permitting and construction schedules.Validates construction estimates.Provides support to Miami Dade Aviation Department – Facility Management – as required.Monitoring cost control and schedule management.Engaging with all stakeholders in a positive manner via verbal and written communicationCoordinate closely with Client regarding construction activities and job progress especially activities that will interfere with the client’s daily operationWorking with the scheduler to develop a thorough and realistic scheduleReviews all field staff reports such as daily field reports and daily photography of work activities and installation methods.Ensures project documentation is being named and filed correctly in construction management software.Coordinates schedule and construction activities with 3rd Party Inspectors, Contractors, and Owner staff.Working with field staff to ensure Field Quality Verification and Safety InspectionsCoordinate closely with Field Staff regarding construction activities, job progress, quality verification, and field oversight.Provide updates and report to Client about project status.Education | Experience:

Education and Licensing requirements

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture or in a construction related field from an accredited college is preferredMinimum of 6 years’ experience in vertical construction projects.Shall be capable of providing clear, concise written and oral communication.Effective communicator who can maintain and foster positive relationships with public agencies, architects, engineers, permits/inspections departments, utility owners, and company employeesUnderstanding of cost control and schedule managementResourcefulness, imagination and a passion for challengesHigh level of fairness, honesty and integrityExperience with construction of residential/multifamily is preferred.PE, RA or CGC licenses are not required, but highly recommended.Company Overview:
