Behind the Design is on the hunt for a dynamic, sales minded Design Consultant in Sacramento! Ideal candidates are maverick lead generators with a proven track record of success in lead conversion and sales.
Compensation and Benefits of the Design Consultant:
+ Flexible Pay Options: Choose between a base salary plus commission or a commission-only structure.
+ No cap on lucrative commissions!
+ Earning Potential: Earn $75k+ in your first year, with no cap on earnings! Second-year potential ranges from $95k–$110k and beyond.
+ Additional Benefits: 5 days of PTO, 5 sick days, 6 paid holidays, and paid training set you up for success. Mileage reimbursement for local travel.
+ Quality Leads: Start strong with walk-in traffic, call-in leads, and marketing-driven inquiries while you build your network of repeat and referral clients.
What You'll Do As The Design Consultant:
+ Client Consultations: Conduct engaging virtual, showroom, and in-home consultations to recommend and specify window coverings, upholstery, accessories, and other furnishings tailored to client needs.
+ Find and Convert Leads: Leverage leads provided, close deals with confidence, and grow referral accounts through proactive networking.
+ Project Coordination: Write detailed paperwork and specifications to ensure flawless execution by our fabricators and manufacturers.
+ Account Management: Manage ongoing client communications, develop design scopes, and guide clients through the approval process with a professional and personable touch.
Qualifications:
+ Sales Expertise: At least 3 years of proven success in a sales role, with a passion for meeting and exceeding targets and a demonstrated track record of lead generation.
+ Tech Savvy: High proficiency with CRM systems, quoting software, and digital tools in a paperless work environment.
+ Design Knowledge: Background in interior design or decorating is essential. Expertise in upholstery or window coverings is a plus but not essential.
+ Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel between Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area as needed.
+ Physical Ability: Capability to lift up to 30 lbs to manage showroom sample books and materials.
Ideal Candidates Have:
+ A background in window treatment and/or textile sales or other design sales niches.
+ Translatable skill sets from similarly complex business to customer or business to business sales role will be required at the minimum.
