Job Description:
This role will perform a wide range of CAD design assignments in support of the mechanical and electrical engineering organization including the editing of models and/or drawings, notes provided by engineering. Assures design documentation complies with the program requirements, organizations processes and industry standards. Solely responsible for top level Technical Design Package (TDP) with accurate drawings and schematics including proper tolerances, dimensions and instructions.
The Agile Development Group (ADG) specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.
Essential Functions:
Provide CAD support (PTC Creo) throughout the product development processGenerate and/or modify products models, drawings and documentationSupport the control of mechanical digital data files and drawingsPrepare and incorporate engineering changes ordersInput data and assure hardware structures are accurate in a Product Data Management toolCommunicate issues and status on a regular basis to the engineering teamCompliance with command media and standardsIdentifies problems/issues in CAD design/drawings and provide corrective actionsProficient with 3D CAD tools, specifically PTC Creo ParametricKnowledge of applicable government and industry standards including ASME Y14.5 (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) and ASME Y14.100 (Engineering Drawing Practices) and its application techniquesQualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance6 years experience in 3D CAD modeling and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software Experience using Microsoft Office productsPreferred Additional Skills:
