**Job Description:** The client is seeking an experienced and talented Industrial Designer / Design Engineer to join a global design team. You will collaborate with mechanical engineers, manufacturing experts, product line managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, market-ready designs that uphold our brand’s integrity, meet customer needs and adhere to our technical standards. You will be supporting the design efforts for a wide range of products including connectors, adaptors, testing devices, fiber housings, wireless terminals, splice cassettes, as well as the accompanying tools, accessories, and packaging. + Assist in the conceptualization and iterative development of innovative fiber optic hardware solutions for all market segments. + Create 3D models and prototypes that demonstrate functionality and/or appearance. + Enjoy being hands-on and getting into the field to look for insights. + Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to contribute ideas and feedback to the global design team. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design intent with project objectives and business goals throughout the project. + Prepare detailed design documentation and presentation materials. + Train, educate and advise on industry best practices for Visual Language, Design Thinking and UX/UI. + Execute packaging and label graphics that align with current standards. **Experience:** + 5+ years of product development experience + Strong communication skills - designers must have the ability to clearly communicate design intent through written, drawn, and verbal direction to a diverse audience. + Proficiency in CAD software (experience with CREO is preferred). + Often approach problems from many different angles and challenge the status quo. + Good to strong digital sketching and visual communication skills. + Expert level proficiency in KeyShot and Adobe Creative Cloud. + Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles. + High personal standard for detail and craftsmanship. + Dynamic in collaborative environments with the ability to deliver constructive feedback diplomatically. + Naturally curious and inquisitive about how and why things work with a willingness to try and fail at something new. + Able to execute within an established visual brand language across a broad portfolio. + Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. + Natural interest in sustainability, AI, generative design, and cutting-edge design tools. + Familiar with DFM/A. + Advanced understanding of human factors and ergonomics. + Additional experience or training in UX is a plus. **Skills:** CAD- Creo KeyShot Adobe Creative Cloud Industrial Design **Education:** + Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. **About US Tech Solutions:** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
