Design Engineer
MCNALLY INDUSTRIES, LLC JOB DESCRIPTION **JOB TITLE:** Design Engineer II **EEOC Category:** Professional **DEPARTMENT:** Engineering **REPORTS TO:** Director of Design Engineering **PURPOSE:** The Design Engineering Team provides innovative design solutions in support of various DoD Programs within McNally Industries, LLC, under the direction of the Design Engineering Manager. Responsible for project management, functionality, integrity and reliability of newly designed parts and support of existing programs. **WORK PERFORMED:** · Technical organization and conduction of projects encompassing the design, analysis, evaluation, modification and fabrication of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and components. · Understands customer requirements and prepares designs in accordance with customer and derived requirements. · Manages effort and time within the budget and schedule provided for the task. · Prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (i.e. drawings, specifications, parts lists, interface control documents, test procedures, etc.). · Prepares and presents design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** · Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university. · Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in design, assembly, and testing. · Proficient with the use of PTC Creo. · Strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (ASME/ANSI Y14.5) is necessary. · Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate good written and oral communication skills. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** · Experience with Solidworks / CETol software · Experience with Polyworks and Geomagic 3D metrology software. · Experience with the FARO portable coordinate measuring machine. · Finite Element Analysis skills. · Experience with electrical controls engineering and systems integration for automated industrial equipment/machinery; Experience should include designing, developing and modifying PLCs and HMIs with respective controls, servo drives, motors, etc. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
