Job Title: Design Engineer
Job Description

This position involves mechanical design, dedicating about 75% of the time to designing and developing machines from initial concepts. The role includes working directly with customers to identify necessary components, design structures, brackets, mounts, and determine specifications such as cylinder size, valving, and required force. The remaining 25% of the time will be spent on the production floor, assisting in building and assembling machines or work cells, which is crucial for professional growth in the industry.

ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical components and systems for custom automated assembly machines.Collaborate with customers to identify necessary components and specifications.Work on initial concepts and transform them into detailed machine designs.Participate in project meetings to discuss tasks, deadlines, and prioritize projects.Support the design and development of automated systems for the RV, steel, and medical industries.Assist in the assembly and build of machines and work cells on the production floor.Essential SkillsEngineering Degree (or 3+ years of experience in custom machine design without a degree)Proficiency in SolidWorksExperience in designing machines or mechanisms, including motion partsProject management skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in project management (nice to have)Work Environment
