Hire Resolve is seeking a Design Engineer for a client to join either their Pretoria (PTA) or Johannesburg (JHB) office.

We are looking for skilled Substation and OHL (Overhead Line) Design Engineers.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop primary and secondary plant layouts for substations Conduct detailed engineering studies and analyses for substation and overhead line design Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all design work Prepare technical reports and documentation for project proposals and implementation Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and deadlines Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of designs

Requirements:

Pr Eng Electrical Degree or similar qualification Proven experience in substation design (Primary Plant, Secondary or Control Plant) and OHL line design Eskom-related work experience is a plus Strong knowledge of electrical design software and tools Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Salary: Market-related
Start Date: February 2025
Location: Irene, PTA or Woodmead, JHB
