Job Description

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to manage projects from the proposal phase through qualification and design. You will review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. You must perform necessary calculations to demonstrate equipment performance to specifications and work with engineering staff to prepare all necessary documents for the projects, including schedules, designs, drawings, and required reports. The Design Engineer will conduct analytical studies on engineering proposals and existing designs for hydraulic products.

ResponsibilitiesEngineer projects from the proposal phase through qualification and design.Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements.Perform necessary calculations to demonstrate equipment performance to specifications.Work with engineering staff to prepare all necessary project documents including schedules, designs, drawings, and required reports.Conduct analytical studies on engineering proposals and existing designs for hydraulic products.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorksExperience in valve design and hydraulicsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering5+ years of experience designing hydraulic valves and components3+ years of experience in the Industrial Aerospace industryProject management skillsProficiency in mechanical design and engineeringExperience with machine design and automated equipmentKnowledge of servo valves and hydraulic systemsExperience in new product development and DfmeaExcellent oral and written communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the aerospace industry, especially with hydraulic components or systemsAbility to perform basic calculations such as weight, stress, and spring designAbility to lead and mentor a design teamKnowledge of sustainable design and systems engineeringExperience in servo valve creationWork Environment

You will work alongside a team of 4 engineers and 1 drafter at a manufacturing site equipped with 3 robotic machines. The work hours start at 6:30 AM. The company offers a family-like atmosphere with opportunities for advancement, working with innovative professionals in servo valve creation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $200000.00
