Our client, a leader in the engineering sector, is seeking a Design Engineer to join their team. As a Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Aftermarket team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Design Engineer
**Location:** Colchester, VT
**Pay Range:** $80,000 - $120,000
**What's the Job?**
+ Provide contract design responsibility to translate design specifications and code requirements into the requisite product design.
+ Collaborate with contract management, quality assurance, and manufacturing personnel to oversee the preparation of manufacturing drawings and analytical design reports.
+ Review customer purchase orders for engineering content and completeness to ensure compliance with design and contract requirements.
+ Offer documented technical and analytical support to clients regarding the suitability for operation of equipment outside original design parameters.
+ Review and update legacy documents and drawings in compliance with current standards and customer design specifications.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of experience in industrial rotating machinery.
+ Thorough understanding of pertinent codes, regulations, and industry practices, with experience in ASME Code Section VIII or III preferred.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
+ Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles associated with rotating machinery design and analysis.
+ Proficiency in MathCad, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
