Design Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is currently seeking a Design Engineer focused on equipment for a direct hire opportunity supporting a large food and beverage service company. This individual will be working out of the headquarters located in Louisville, KY with a travel requirement up to 20%. The goal of this role is to provide technical guidance in process design, equipment evaluation and testing, small wares review, and life cycle cost analysis. This engineer will be primarily responsible for leading and executive equipment testing processes that interlink cross-functional work streams from product ideation through system rollouts. They will also be tasked with designing systems to validate new equipment against specific test criteria and operational KPIs. They will also own & support equipment and field level testing through construction mockup reviews, installation plans, food prep requirements, and equipment maintenance criteria evaluations. This role partners heavily with R&D, procurement, development, and operations to ensure standards and meets expectations from an operational usage standpoint, store install feasibility aspect, and costing/impact perspective.
