Job Title: Design Engineer
Job Description

As a Design Engineer, you will perform product design and development of new products to meet customer programs and requirements, as well as new product development projects. You will produce new and modified designs of moderate complexity that meet technical expectations in an efficient, concurrent, and value-effective way. You will develop and update the existing product base using a statistical and systematic approach, relying on well-founded design and manufacturing principles. You will also participate with Senior Engineers in support of major developmental projects, including design analysis and technical recommendations to achieve project objectives in a high-value method.

ResponsibilitiesPerform product design and development of new products to meet customer programs and requirements.Produce new and modified designs of moderate complexity to meet technical expectations efficiently.Develop and update existing product base using statistical and systematic approaches.Participate with Senior Engineers in support of major developmental projects.Perform design analysis and provide technical recommendations to achieve project objectives.Essential SkillsProficiency in Design, Solidworks, connectors, cables, nano microconnector design, machining, manufacturing, and product testing.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with electro-mechanical components and design, and strong electro-mechanical aptitude.Experience with machining/metal working processes, molding, casting, plating, and general fabrication/assembly in a mid-to-high volume environment.Ability to perform limited fabrication and assembly of company products.Effective communication skills to interface with all levels of Engineering and manufacturing/assembly personnel.Diligent and hardworking; able to work in a stressful environment handling a variety of tasks.General knowledge of test methods and equipment used to support the evaluation of products, including mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing, and the ability to perform and document this testing.Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment handling a variety of tasks. The role involves hands-on fabrication and assembly of company products. Effective communication skills are essential for successful interfacing with all levels of Engineering and manufacturing/assembly personnel. You will be expected to perform and document testing using various methods and equipment. The position requires diligence and the ability to work under stress while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00
