Description The Civil Design Engineer will provide design efforts from inception through production both in new product design and in existing product redesign. This role will assist in design & engineering, quality assurance, and project management support. ● Develop and interprets engineering drawings and facilitates correction of errors on drawings and documents ● Develops calculations and cost estimates ● Develops technical project reports and technical memorandums ● Assist with development of project work plans ● Maintains records or oversees recording of information by others to ensure engineering drawings and documents are current and that engineering-related production problems and resolutions are documented. ● Assist with quality control plans ● Participate in engineering and general design reviews as required ● Refine and Complete designs after design review meetings ● Support efforts to develop and maintain project work plans ● Communicate on task status and support internal project communication This position may sit out of their Detroit or East Lansing office. Skills microstation, roadway design, FE, PE, traffic analysis, Hydraulic analysis, AutoCAD Must Haves: microstation (2 years) ,roadway design (2 years), bachelor's degree in civil engineering Additional Skills & Qualifications EIT/PE Traffic and Hydraulic Analysis Engineering Calculations Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
