Description • CAD Design o Use CAD system to design 3D detailed components o Create detailed component and assemble 2D print drawings o Create multi-level 3D assemblies • Engineering Evaluation/Research o Perform physical functional testing of product(s) in test & assembly areas o Perform first article inspection/evaluation of newly sourced product(s) o Research or test material strengths, behaviors, physical properties, etc. • Maintain Product Specifications o Use CAD system to perform changes and/or updates to product specifications sheets o Distribute product specifications to various departments within organization • Bill of Materials (BOM) o Enter and maintain master BOM/Assembly drawings for all company products o Verify that BOMs in MRP system are identical to master drawings o Verify that part numbering is consistent throughout all BOMs • Technical Writing o Assist in creating Installation Instructions o Update existing Installation Instruction to incorporate engineering changes Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering). • Minimum 2 years’ working experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software. • Knowledge of basic drafting principles. • Ability to use various engineering tools (e.g. calipers, thread gages, etc.) • Experience working with AutoCAD is a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
