•\tCAD Design

o\tUse CAD system to design 3D detailed components

o\tCreate multi-level 3D assemblies

o\tCreate detailed component and assemble 2D print drawings

o\tUse personal knowledge to contribute to product development

•\tEngineering Evaluation/Research

o\tPerform first article inspection/evaluation of newly sourced product(s)

o\tPerform physical functional testing of product(s) in test & assembly areas

o\tResearch or test material strengths, behaviors, physical properties, etc.

•\tMaintain Product Specifications

o\tUse CAD system to perform changes and/or updates to product specifications sheets

o\tDistribute product specifications to various departments within organization

•\tBill of Materials (BOM)

o\tEnter and maintain master BOM/Assembly drawings for all company products

o\tVerify that BOMs in MRP system are identical to master drawings

o\tVerify that part numbering is consistent throughout all BOMs

•\tTechnical Writing

o\tAssist in creating Installation Instructions

o\tUpdate existing Installation Instruction to incorporate engineering changes

•\tAdditional Duties

o\tMake significant decisions that impact the production and productivity of the business

o\tExercise judgment which determines the efficiency and effectiveness of operations

o\tAdding input to major strategic and tactical decisions made to increase quality, safety, and productivity

o\tPerforming additional assignments per management direction

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\tBachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering).

•\tMinimum 2 years’ working experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software.

•\tKnowledge of basic drafting principles.

•\tAbility to use various engineering tools (e.g. calipers, thread gages, etc.)

•\tExperience working with AutoCAD is a plus.

•\tKnowledge of various metal manufacturing processes is a plus.

•\tExperience working with multi-level BOMs is a plus.

•\tExperience working with MRP/ERP systems is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
