Job Title: CAD Design Engineer Description: CAD Design: + Utilize CAD software to design detailed 3D components. + Develop multi-level 3D assemblies. + Create detailed 2D print drawings for components and assemblies. + Leverage personal expertise to contribute to product development. Engineering Evaluation/Research: + Conduct first article inspections and evaluations of newly sourced products. + Perform physical and functional testing of products in test and assembly areas. + Research and test material strengths, behaviors, and physical properties. Maintain Product Specifications: + Use CAD software to update and maintain product specification sheets. + Distribute updated product specifications to various departments. Bill of Materials (BOM): + Enter and maintain master BOM and assembly drawings for all company products. + Ensure BOMs in the MRP system match master drawings. + Verify consistency in part numbering across all BOMs. Technical Writing: + Assist in creating installation instructions. + Update existing installation instructions to reflect engineering changes. Additional Duties: + Make significant decisions impacting production and productivity. + Exercise judgment to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. + Contribute to strategic and tactical decisions to improve quality, safety, and productivity. + Perform additional assignments as directed by management. Additional Skills & Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing). + Minimum of 2 years’ experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software. + Knowledge of basic drafting principles. + Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g., calipers, thread gauges). + Experience with AutoCAD is a plus. + Familiarity with various metal manufacturing processes is a plus. + Experience with multi-level BOMs is a plus. + Experience with MRP/ERP systems is a plus. Experience Level: + Intermediate Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
