Our production-like environments serve as the backbone for development and quality assurance, and our people help align the many advancements within Comcast and our industry. **Job Description** X-Labs Design Engineer is directly responsible for the intake process and execution of all new company-wide innovation projects for Architecture and Product, in accordance with company and industry standards. Engineer possesses a deep understanding of MSO architectures including CRAN, DAA, NDC, HFC, and cloud video. Engineer leverages that knowledge to create a visual design package, establish a defined bill-of-materials, create all build plans, scope-of-work outlines, and ensure financials are actively maintained until project closure. Engineer will act as an individual contributor in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies, and procedures. Maintains in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in area of discipline, usually determining own work priorities and serving as resource for colleagues with less experience. Interfaces regularly with vendors, engineering, and peer operations organizations, including Infrastructure Engineering, Video Engineering, CMTS Engineering, Systems Engineering, IP Network Engineering, Critical Infrastructure, and Project Management. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment.
