The Design Engineer has technical responsibility during project execution phase of Subsea Oil and Gas projects. As part of its responsibilities, the Design Engineer shall understand customer documents and interface with different areas inside the company to perform the design of Subsea Equipment (Xmas Trees, Manifold, connections Systems, structures, tools) including 3D modeling and Detailed design.
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Creation and contribution to the System Master Equipment List and Master Document RegisterAbility to create, review and release 3D/2D design as per customers’ requirements and Baker Hughes and Oil Industry standardsDetailed Fabrication Drawings based on the 3D models & Baker Hughes StandardsDefine and Deliver the Equipment’s Bill of Materials to be considered at projectDefine and Deliver the System Field Layouts and Distribution schematicsContribution to Internal and External InterfacesContribute to Design Verification Program and actions, taking responsibilities to close equipment design and system layout Contribute to team technical / commercial design reviewsContribute to Intervention, Inspection, maintenance, and repair strategyAwareness of Technical Assurance programFuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Naval) or Science based discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience.Technical experience in designing Oil & Gas Equipment (Manifold and Connections System experience, as preference)Knowledge and application of main industry standards governing design of subsea systems (ISO, API, ASME, NACE, DNV);Strong computer skills (MS Office Applications, AutoCAD, CREO)Strong background in interpretation of Engineering drawings/specifications, and manufacturing process planning/evaluation.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in cross functional team environment Ability to work on his/her own initiativeStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Up to 30% travel could be required.Work in a way that works for you
