Design Engineer - Plymouth, MN
The design engineer is responsible for design controls for an electrical-mechanical medical device with a focus on electrical design, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
Your role:
As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and sustaining medical devices that improve patient outcomes and ensure safety and reliability.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory, Quality, R&D, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Management as well as external suppliers and contract manufacturers.This role offers opportunities to build or enhance your expertise in all aspects of medical device design controls by seeing design changes and new product development through the entire product lifecycle.Joining a smaller team, there will be unique opportunities for rapid skill development, close collaboration, and having a significant impact on projects.Some local travel may be required to meet and discuss ongoing projects with local vendors.You're the right fit if:
You have 3+ years of experience in R&D, design assurance, or related engineering roles within the medical device industry.Skills in cross-functional collaboration, problem solving, technical documentation, design controls, drawing and specification development, device testing and design verification, risk management, and strong attention to detail.Bachelor’s degree in biomedical, electrical, or related engineering field from an accredited university.Familiarity with electrical safety standards (ie. IEC 60601-1) and medical device design requirements for regulatory compliance to relevant FDA, EU MDR, and ISO standards.You’re a problem solver with excellent communication skills. You should be able to work as a member of collaborative team with creativity, adaptability, and continuous improvement mindset.How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The pay range for this position in MN is $ $99,00 to $ $158,400.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
