As a skilled MEMS Design Engineer III with PCB Piezotronics, Inc, you will drive the design and development of next-generation MEMS devices, such as accelerometers and pressure sensors. These devices have groundbreaking applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and defense, providing critical sensing and measurement capabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with leading companies in these sectors, contributing directly to the advancement of technology.

Additional Duties: 

•    Lead the design, analysis, and characterization of MEMS devices, focusing primarily on piezoresistive sensors, with potential work on capacitive and piezoelectric devices.

•    Utilize layout software, preferably L-Edit, for wafer mask layout.

•    Conduct comprehensive data analysis, design experiments, and develop meaningful conclusions to advance device innovation.

•    Leverage Finite Element Analysis tools, preferably ANSYS, for device optimization and validation.

•    Collaborate with fabrication teams to tackle semiconductor wafer processing and backend processing challenges, with a focus on creating manufacturable designs.

•    Contribute to the design of the die packaging to ensure robust integration and performance in final product applications.

•    Spearhead the development and testing of MEMS devices, employing advanced test and measurement techniques to ensure product excellence.

•    We have a strong preference for person to be located near our Silicon Valley location; however, remote work may be considered for the ideal candidate not residing in the area, with the expectation of traveling to Silicon Valley regularly for team collaboration and project milestones.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

BS, MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics

Experience:

5+ years in MEMS accelerometer or pressure sensor designMEMS mask LayoutFinite Element Analysis
