Co-Ops tasks include:

· Brainstorm, design, and build product prototypes

· Conduct laboratory and real-world testing

· CAD work (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)

· FMEA (design and process engineering)

· Perform field trials alongside engineering team

Primary Requirements:

· Currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering or other related field

· CAD competency (Creo or SolidWorks preferred)

· Ability to problem solve technical issues

· Ability to work independently or with a team

· Proficient computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Program suite

· Ability to balance work and deadlines across more than one project

· Must hold valid driver’s license

Qualifications:

· Working knowledge of mechanical design and materials

· CREO or SolidWorks experience

· Proficiency in Statics, Dynamics, and Fluids

· Experience with manufacturing processes

· 3D printing, rapid prototyping, or additive manufacturing

· Experience with inspection and lab equipment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

· Working in fabrication facilities or laboratories

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

· Ability to manipulate test material

· Ability to climb stairs, ladders and similar structures

· Ability to work on uneven surfaces
